Review of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (2005) by Luke J — 27 Jun 2010
For as much as flicks like FF7:AC and AVATAR are considered to be "achievements in 3D animation" -- I'm still not convinced our technology is advanced enough to create believable, hyper-real movies.
In other words, it still looks like CGI. Have we come a long way? By all means we have! Yet, I still like 2D better. Don't get me wrong, for things like TOY STORY and MONSTERS INC our 3D technology is fine, because stylistically they are NOT hyper real.
Overall FF7:AC isn't much, and with a weak storyline, flat characters, and cheesy dialogue I can't give it anything higher than 2 stars.
