Review of Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (2001) by Chris T — 14 Oct 2008
Hugely underrated, imho, this should be crowned as THE ground breaking CG movie. It's just gorgeous to watch, and I can't see any problem with the story - I guess not having played the games I'm not prejudiced against it.
The only thing that detracts, for me, is the stiff motion capture, but it's easily forgivable for a ground-breaking movie (more recent efforts have no excuses!).
