Review of Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (2001) by Chris B — 16 Jun 2009

Quite dark for a kids film the animation still holds up quite well now but the film is maybe a little too artistic and complex for its target audience. Not terrible but developing on the decent story idea for a more cohesive narrative would be more beneficial than spending all the time the producers did on the animation gimmick that thanks to the wonders of technology, will seem far too dated within a decade regardless of how far they push current boundaries.
