8. Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within.
What did it do?
It was the first film to portray computer animated human characters so realistic it was hard to tell if they weren't real at all. It sent shivers down the spines of many actors who believed this was the future of movies, and they would soon be out of a job.
What did it change?
Not too much, as real humans are still starring in movies. It did pave the way for The Polar Express and eventually Avatar.
