Review of Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (2001) by Russell W — 18 May 2012

First off, I'll say The Spirits Within has killer visuals! You wouldn't believe they could achieve like-like animation like this in 2001, were talking the same era when PS2 was out and the graphics looks like XBOX 360 graphics! You never get the sense that everything feels human and real however, the animation isn't quite up to those standards, but still a pleasure for your eyes to behold! Unfortunately, the story isn't as strong as the visuals are, it's kind of your average science-fiction story with a complex scientific nature to it.

It's fun to watch and the action can be pretty cool, but it's also a little predictable and I kind of felt like "that's it?" at the ending.
