Thsi movie should not have been a box office failure. This is a great movie. The visulas are abosultely excellent. The score by Elliot Goldenthal is by far his best score he has ever written. The characters are nearly photo realistic it is just insane.
The movie is also well written although I do agree that the tone should be lightened up just a tiny bit, but otherwise a well made film. One of the best movies of 2001.
