Review of Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (2001) by Anthony F — 02 Apr 2013
The only redeeming factor to this computer-generated movie was the animation. Even today, the details poured into the war-ravaged Earth and spirit creatures held up well, though the humans still seemed plasticky to me.
It also heavily suffers from wooden voice acting, boring plot, and sluggish pacing in the story. I was prepared to deal with the fact that this bears absolutely no relation to the Final Fantasy video game series, but man, I can see why this was such a costly blunder.
Somehow managed to watch about an hour of this without having to skip forward.
