Review of Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (2001) by Alex K — 02 Jan 2010
It's a bummer that such a beautiful movie turned out to be so boring. The plot was... meh, not bad, but not good. The acting, both English and Japanese, was decent. The CGI was fantastic (for 2001).
Yet, this movie is really boring. The only thing that makes it even remotely worth watching are the phantoms. The orange baddies that suck the souls out of the human characters. They look creepy and awesome.
Especially the ones with the tentacle arms. Still, I wouldn't recommend this one.
