Review of Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (2001) by Diego E — 09 Jan 2011
Visually stunning in its day; sadly it's aged rapidly, and it can't stand on the legs of the other elements -- poor story, weak voice work from a good cast (even in 2001 it was cool in a campy cult kind of way that James Woods did voice for this), and the 'Final Fantasy' tag that sold the movie was something of a false advertisement.
