Review of Final Destination 5 (2011) by Ranzel V — 24 Jul 2013
A winsome sequel, if I must say. The gore level has decreased to realistic cringe-inducing from laughable grossness of its predecessor. the death scenes are suspenseful, anxiety-filled, properly-built, and has taken time for exposure before executing it, rather than the campy, instantaneous, and not-so-appreciated ones in the previous film.
Character development has improved, making it difficult for others to see them dying, like they're round enough to care about. The humor is unusual, it's rather dark. but what I like most as a fan of the series, aside from the death scenes, is the ingenuity of its ending.
It's unpredictable. I can easily say that it is the best among the entries yet.
