A rollercoaster is just elemental physics, a conversion of potential energy to kinetic energy... And this movie is really bad.

Choose your fate! Hit play or kill yourself?

The Story: After almost getting killed on a rollercoaster, a group of teens begins to die one by one by one... Being part of the Final Destination series, the death scenes are all part of big chain reactions. The catch is this, throughout the movie, you're presented with seven choices (eight depending on how you do for the seventh), that change the outcome... The problem is this, the choices more often than not don't really effect anything at all. For example, a character that's going to die steps on a banana peel, trips, falls in front of an oncoming bus, but the bus swerves out the way, hitting a light pole knocking it down, smashing a blind man who in turn lets his dog go which scares the neighbors cat, which jumps, claws the kid standing next to it with a pair of scissors, causing the kid to panic and throw the scissors which get stuck in the forehead of the victim... You're presented with the choice, "Step on banana peel Or Step over banana peel"... Choose step on and it's obvious, choose step over and instead of tripping on the banana peel the cat will freak out for no apparent reason, and the kid will throw the scissors into the victims forehead anyway... That's not really in the movie, but that's the kind of overblown death scene you're in for if you watch this... The story is minimal and the style is decent at best, but the cinematography and camera work is actually pretty good. And there's no denying the creativity behind outlandish chain reactions.

The Cast: Does it really matter? They all suck... I'm not even going to bother with this because they don't really "act" they just kind of make noise and get killed.

One to Five Scale: 1.

Don't watch it, but if you do just watch the theatrical version that comes on the disc... You'll get the same movie with less work.

Tyler.
