Review of Final Destination 3 (2006) by Casey T — 19 Apr 2012
Now we cut to another sequel which is the third movie to the supposed "Death" franchise titled Final Destination 3. In this movie, it's a whole fresh start where our leading lady named Wendy played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead who has a vision of a roller coaster breaking and exploding.
Wendy tries to warn her friends but only a few listen to her as the ride starts and her vision comes true. And they are slowly killed off one by one. It's better than that childhood-destroying second film and it does have some good moments and some bad moments in this film.
In this Final Destination movie, we get to see tits oh yes two women die naked and we get more blood and gore than the first film. hallelujah It's pretty scary trust me! Some of the death scenes scared the living crap out of me and made me feel sorry for the survivors.
Also Mary is a more emotional character bringing a darker atmosphere to the film even with that intro with the theme song and the rollercoaster vision was quite almighty for a Final Destination sequel.
What pissed me off in this film is that Tony Todd is not in this film, WHAT THE HELL!!!! He rules this franchise with an iron fist. Devon, I love you but Tony got it first. Horror classic Tony Todd from 90's horror film Candyman made him the star which is why he was selected to play Bludworth in this movie's franchise and you throw him out in the third and fourth movie.
What the hell! No wonder James Wong's career sunk so low after the first Final Destination movie because he couldn't direct a good movie properly and he couldn't get the story right either again and after this he went onto direct Dragonball: Evolution which almost everyone hates badly-continuity and direction is fucked.
Overall Final Destination 3 is a movie that kinda gives you mixed feelings in a good way and it's better than it's god awful sequel, "THE" Final Destination MY GOD WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!!!!!!!!! CAN YOU EVEN CALL IT A MOVIE TO TO BEGIN WITH!!!!!!!!!! Final Destination 3 gets a 6/10.
