Review of Final Destination (2000) by Hendrik J — 03 Sep 2011
Being the first in a trashy series of horror flicks, of which I find endlessly amusing, 'Final Destination' spends most of its time trying to set up and have us buy into the premise, rather than dropping characters into virtual deathtraps, where an unlikely series of events leads to a tiger jumping out of nowhere and eviscerating some poor soul. The acting is a notch above the sequels, but the number and quality of ridiculously contrived deaths are for the most part not.
--6.5/10--.
