Final Destination 2 has no discipline unlike the first film. They decide to trash anything of sophistication, and go with the blood and guts. The truth is, I didn't care, because as they've raised up the violence, the film becomes more fun.

The film is set one year after the incident in "Final Destination". Kimberly (A.J Cook) is about to drive into Route 23 with her friends in the car, but soon has a vision that there will be pile-up, killing everyone involved. She panics and stops her car on the entrance ramp to the highway. This stops many drivers from going into the highway. These people were Eugene Dix (Terrence C. Carson), mother Nora Carpenter (Lynda Boyd), her son Tim Carpenter (James Kirk), pregnant woman Isabella Hudson (Justina Machado), lottery winner Evan Lewis (David Paetkau), drug addict Rory Peters (Jonathan Cherry), selfish woman Kat Jennings (Keegan Connor Tracy), and officer Thomas "Tom" Burke (Michael Landes). She is questioned by Tom, who asks her to step out of her vehicle, but as she is speaking with him, a truck smashes into her car - killing her friends and resulting in the pile-up she saw coming. Just like in the first film, Death wants to kill everyone that should have died. Bizzare accidents start to kill off some of those people, and Kimberly believes that what is going on is very much like the incident with Flight 180 (the plane explosion in Final Destination). She and Tom turn to Clear Rivers (Ali Larter), the last survivor of Flight 180. Well, as you can see, it's not very different from the first movie. Again, the characters have nothing interesting about them. I found the dialogue very silly. When they tried to throw in twists, the film got confusing, and the twists were pretty poorly written. I did like some of the incidents though. There was a scene where Eugene tries to shoot himself after witnessing someone die from a gruesome accident. There was nothing wrong with the gun, it was loaded - but it wouldn't fire. He could not kill himself. I thought this whole scene was very well written. He couldn't kill himslef because it wasn't his time to die. Death kills off the people in the order that htye would have died. It was pretty smart scene. The only clever scene for that matter. Overall, the plot was decent to bad.

A.J Cook was the only good actor here. The rest of them SUCKED! Ali Larter was okay, Michael Landes was just the typical hot guy, and the rest of the cast showed nothing of talent.

I did like the blood and gore. It should please a lot of fans of the first film. Even though they've gone over the top, the death scenes still build it's suspense well, and the way they kill people here is FUCKING GRUESOME. All these scenes make the film a really fun ride.

It's not as good as the first film, but it's still fun. They decided to go over the top, which resulted in a fun film. It still has a lot of major flaws, but I enjoyed this. It's scary and thrilling. It's a decent one.
