Review of Final Destination 2 (2003) by Neil M — 07 Jan 2010
Kimberly Corman is on her way for a weekend of fun with her friends when she has a vision of a massive traffic accident that claims the lives of her and her friends. After causing traffic to come to a stand-still while raving at the side of the road, they witness said accident. Once again, afterwards the survivors begin dying gruesome deaths.
If this sounds familiar, that's because it is. Final Destination 2 is a virtual remake of the first film, though the difference here is the death scenes are far more gruesome and outlandish. While the first film managed to sprinkle in some genuine chills, this one simply goes for the fun factor. You won't be covering your eyes from fright, rather from the gallons of gore spilling across the screen.
This one is purely for the fans of the first film clamoring for more. If this is your first foray into the Final Destination franchise, you may find yourself scratching your head a few times. But, simply putting the first film on (or clicking your thinker off) you'll have a thoroughly good time trying to predict who the next person to die will be and how it will happen.
