Review of Final Destination 2 (2003) by Johnny M — 31 Mar 2010
Better than the first only because it didn't try and take itself seriously, where as the first kind of felt like it was trying to at times, and failing at it miserably. Yes it's just another teen flick, but somehow it felt like that fit, where as with the first it felt like that was what it was, but not what it wanted to be.
Well, I'm not certain about that, but what I am certain of is that this is an enjoyable film, nothing spectacular, nothing particuarly deep, but just entertaining, so if that's what you're looking for, then it'll do you no harm. If not then go watch Donnie Darko, that film is awesome, and this series and that materpiece kind of share a few things in common, other than Donnie Darko being mind blowing and from what I've seen of this series so far, this being more LOLhetotallygothisheadcutoff... if you get what I mean.
Side note: I'm really out of practice with this reviewing lark, not the best one I've ever written for sure.
