Review of Filth (2013) by John C — 06 Oct 2013
Love or loathe the main character, the performances are all outstandingly believeable: devoid of a fake/hollywood ending and requiring you to enter the cinema WITH your brain (rather than leaving it at the door), this movie will provoke and upset some people.
Sympathy for the main character is slowly nourished as you discover mental health issues, agonising loss/betrayal, issolation and a generalised sense of hopelessness. Not a hollywood movie... not a happy movie.
.. But DEFINITELY a brilliant movie :).
