Review of Filth (2013) by Jake A — 22 Jun 2014
Strange, bold, and ultimately rather beautiful tale of depravity. Certainly in the same vein as Bad Lieutenant, this film goes just a tinge darker, but with a Scottish sense of both humor and nihilism.
McAvoy's descent into madness is often horrifying, and works to underscore the psychological beating his warped mind gives him in response to his ceaselessly crass behavior.
