Review of Filth (2013) by Neil P — 04 Oct 2014

I'm not entirely sure what the film was about other than the complete breakdown of a person but it was fun being caught up in the chaos. McAvoy yet again shows his talent somehow managing to appear deranged, loathing, yet deeply sad throughout.

The twists don't really work as it's hard to know what's real or not anyhow. One complaint is the terrfiying animal flashes which disturbed me so much whenever they appeared that I was taken out of the story.

Nice to see Edinburgh again too!
