Review of Filth (2013) by George B — 11 Jan 2015
I just stumbled across this movie on Netflix last night after I downloaded it to my PS3 and I was bored so I gave it a watch..........this was one of the most deranged, sick, twisted, and just flat out insane films I have ever seen in my life.............and I think I loved it.
James McAvoy gives probably his best performance yet, and it offers and incredibly intriguing plot about a man going insane through guilt, greedy, and sexual urges that leads for a Journey that's both hilarious, shocking, and oddly heartbreaking.
It may just be because I love any entertainment related to the United Kingdom, but I couldn't help but f*cking love every brilliantly acted and sharply written minute of it.
Its not for everyone, and it is very sexualized to the point where some people a bit squeamish will be turned off by it, and it does have it fare share of mean moments, but its done in a way that kinda makes sense and fits with the actual title of the movie.
I mean, its called Filth, ya should know what you're getting into with a title like that, but eh, if it sounds like something you'd like, give it a watch.
