Review of Fill the Void (2012) by Mark L — 07 Jul 2013
This is yet another flawed attempt to show the orthodox world in israel.. Plot contrivances and irrelevant scenes, replace what should have been scenes with dialogue, that would have enhanced the stories, and bring to life some of the characters.
If you haven't watched any movies about Orthodox Jews, you will find the scenes interesting. But if you've already watched a lot of such movies, you'll find yourself waiting for some real scenes with great dialogue, which never happens.
And the film ends like most israeli films seem to do, i.e. you are left wondering where the rest of the movie is.
