Review of Fighting (2014) by Jim C — 15 Apr 2011
I resisted seeing this movie for a while, and somehow it ended up in my Netflix queue. I've been a Channing Tatum fan for a while, since seeing him in 'Stop-Loss' with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Ryan Phillippe, two of my other favorite young actors.
His sheer physicality in this film is amazing, but his acting skills are there, too. Terrence Howard did such a remarkable job in this film as the two-bit hustler cum fight promoter who gives Tatum's character the breaks and helps him though the seedier side of NYC.
A very good film.
