Review of Fighting (2009) by Ryan G — 05 Aug 2010

For a film that is called 'Fighting' the fight sequences display a shocking lack of choreography and general understanding of mise en scene within this genre. Shockingly, I found myself longing to watch Rocky V at times just to see a better street fight sequence!

Channing Tatum and Terrence Howard are seemingly sleep walking through a thoroughly underwhelming script, with the only redeeming feature being a solid performance from Zulay Henao. Keep a watch out, she will go places.

I went into this expecting a poor version of Kickboxer, however, the reality was about 50% of my expectations. Pass.
