Review of Fighter in the Wind (2004) by Steve W — 13 Oct 2012
This was one excellent movie. Its got a comic book feel with great camera work, and is loosely based on Choi Baedal (Masutatsu Oyama). The story line is pretty good and its got a lot of fights, but its more realistic with them ending in less than a minute rather than a whole five minute showdown.
It develops the characters quite nicely even though it doesn't give us good resolution with the main female lead. A terrific mix of action, drama, and romance along with one of the best training montages makes for one of the best martial arts movies I've ever seen.
