Fight Club when it came out in cinemas in 1999 was not very well known and wasn't nominated for anything as I recall. Now it holds up as a cult classic and I think that this film should've won the 1999 best picture and best director for David Fincher.
He came a long way from Alien 3. Edward Norton as always delivers an exceptionally well received character. This is a great psychological thriller and is a film you can put on at any time and check out.
