"FIST FIGHTS, BLOODSTAINS AND SOAP".

- 'Fight Club' is a psychological action movie from 1999 by David Fincher (Alien³, Se7en) and based on the novel by Chuck Palahniuk. Genius storyline about young men who bond and escape their boring, seemingly meaningless life by participating in fistfights. Though the film felt a bit long, I did enjoy the brutality mixed with the dark sense of humor and the shockingly twist in the end (works perfect the first time you watch it, but is less strong once you see it again). Starring Edward Norton (American History X, Red Dragon), Brad Pitt (Se7en, Troy), Helena Bonham Carter (Harry Potter, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street), Jared Leto (Requiem For a Dream, Urban Legend) and Meat Loaf as Big Bob with the huge boobs. Rule one: Don't talk about Fight Club.

An insomniac insurance agent (Norton) joins several support groups where he listens to the misery of others. He becomes addicted to the meetings, but fears to be exposed by another imposter, Marla Singer (Bonham Carter). The two of them make arrangements to divide the support groups between them so they won't see each other. During a flight home form a business trip, he meets soap salesman Tyler Durden (Pitt). The two of them engage in conversation and exchange business cards. Later that night the insurance agent finds his apartment destroyed by an explosion. Not knowing where he can go, he calls Tyler. They meet at a bar and have a couple of drinks. In exchange for a place to stay, Tyler wants him to start a fistfight. The two men discover what a rush it gives them and start a secret group in the basement of the bar: Fight Club. It grows fast as men want to join in, but then things go wrong...
