Review of Fight Club (1999) by Scott L — 06 Sep 2014

It is difficult for me to adequately convey why this film is so appealing, so impressive, so good. It makes itself a film for the section of society most likely to resemble the protagonist of the film, a lower-middle class office worker, a ticking time bomb of collected frustrations and unfulfilled dreams which risks itself, daily, to explode like a nuclear device within the confines of its life into the public sphere.

From its pitch black comedy, to its flawless acting, to the philosophy of nihilism so pervasive in this generations' mindset which the film soaks and saturates in, this is truly a film for a select few, a film which all others can only view as outsiders looking in, a tried and true cult classic that, if only to say that you have, you should see immediately.
