Review of Fight Club (1999) by Jake M — 08 Jun 2016

David Fincher is one of my favorite directors of all times and to be honest Fight Club is by far one of his best films to date. What makes Fight Club a great film is that though its a drama it the film never takes itself seriously, and to be completely honest the film has some lines that are actually hilarious however the humor is pretty dark but to be honest you may not even care because its just such a great film and it sort of needs the comedic relief to it or else it wouldn't be as good.

What also makes Fight Club great is the terrific cast that consists of Brad Pitt (Tyler Durdan), Edward Norton (The Narrator), Helen Bonham Carter (Marla), and Jared Leto (Angel Face) all of these people are great actors and they give quite arguably their best performances in this film.

Both Brad Pitt and Edward Norton do a phenomenal job in this film but to be honest the most underrated performance not just in this movie but in film history is Helen Bonham Carter, she gives an outstanding performance as Marla I don't think anyone else could play that part better than she did.

However though Helen Bonham Carter does a phenomenal job as Marla she wasn't my favorite character of all time, one of the best character in film history is Tyler Durdan and no one else could play him as great as Brad Pitt did.

Though Fight Club is dark, bizarre, twisted, and disturbing film its still a cinematic masterpiece with by far the best twists in cinema history, which though all of you probably already know I am NOT spoiling it for anyone, you are just going to have to experience the film for yourself.
