Review of Fifty Shades of Grey (2015) by Jim S — 21 Nov 2015

I found the first 45 minutes of this film to be intriguing. It's very flashy and the actors are pretty...but then it becomes more intimate and gets cheesy and silly and just sort of boring. I suppose that straight housewives enjoy the mild kinkiness, but really it just sort of comes across as an R rated made for TV movie.

Of course I say this as a gay man who really doesn't appreciate the heterosexuality of it all. I did like the soundtrack though.
