Review of Fifty Shades of Grey (2015) by Miranda S — 27 Nov 2015

For a supposedly erotic film with a bit of S & M on the side this is surprisingly tame and not overly erotic, it is like watching 9 1/2 Weeks but their fridge is defrosting. I didn't find the film as bad as I was expecting but it is all a bit pointless.

Nice, innocent girl falls for a modern Mr. Darcy, he reciprocates but with a twist, she toys with him and tries to change him, he waivers but maintains his stance, she throws a wobbly and leaves. In between there a few tame scenes showing us some of his kinky pleasures, blindfolding, hands bound, spanking and some whipping.

For a less romanticised look at this world Maitresse, The Story of O and The Image are far better and far more erotic.
