Review of Fifty Shades of Grey (2015) by Spencer K — 07 Feb 2016
Fifty Shades Of Grey is just very odd too me. the past year it really blew up and people couldn't stop talking about it and it sold millions of copies. so of course, a film version must be made. look, I read the book and it is just terribly written.
it was originally Twilight fanfiction and it really shows. the author of the novel didn't write the screenplay (thankfully) because while the script still is nowhere near great, I wasn't cringing as hard as when I read the book.
and I will say that it is well made. but for a movie about sex and "love" Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan have absolutely zero chemistry together and show no sign of being attracted to each other at all.
while Fifty Shades Of Grey the movie might be a little better endowed than its source material, it's still nothing worth recommending or sitting through.
