Review of Fifty Shades Darker (2017) by Lois C — 12 Feb 2017
Fifty Shades Darker is choppy and is not true to the book storyline. In some of the previews on YouTube Michelle Pfeiffer was playing mrs. Lincoln and I think it would have been a better fit. The second film lacks the grace and eroticism with the first film had.
However it's not the actors' fault it's the script idiots. So many of the key elements from the book storyline were eliminated. The movie it's just become a music sex video. There is no buildup no intensity and hardly any conflict which made people take the first movie seriously.
It is unconscionable that the psychiatrist character was removed when's Christian Grey's psychological issues are key to this book. It is unfortunate they missed out on this character of Lila.
She could have had as much creepier and created a bit more conflict. Why on Earth they took all the exciting scenes of the book out I have no idea. What's the point in making a movie if you're not going to read the book!
