Accept this movie for what it is, and it's OK. Ignore the critics - they like Mel Gibson's preachy garbage, and Tarantino's gratuitous blood fests, so who cares what they think? If you're expecting a movie deep on any level, you're going to be disappointed.
It's a Harlequin romance/daytime soap opera with some steamy sex, nice boobies, and nothing more, and it's a bit boring at time. It is what it is, and it will make your girlfriend/wife horny, so.
