Review of Fifty Shades Darker (2017) by Christopher E — 24 May 2017
I was dragged to see the first one by a friend. This one I rented on Amazon just because I saw it and found myself going "This has to be better, right?". Best $3.99 I've eve spent. I literally laughed throughout the whole thing.
I'm not entirely sure it was their intention to make a comedy, but they succeeded. I've seen Johnson and Dornan in other things and really think they are good actors. I don't know if the script was just that bad or what, but I am not joking when I say that I loved this.
And that ending... her disgruntled ex-boss planning revenge with his weird, statutory rapist and they're getting married? Come on. That's just too good. You might be thinking, if she liked it this much, why only 3 stars? In good conscience I cannot give it more than three because the script, acting and storyline were that bad.
But I feel like this one is giving The Room a run for it's money.
