Review of Fifty Shades Darker (2017) by Michael W — 19 Mar 2017
The forbidden Fruit story (my wife's movie pick!) of pushing the limits with an erotic twist! Peeling away the forbidden fruit story-line Fifty Shades Darker is about Anastasia and Christian's relationship.
Christian is trying to win Anastasia back. The character development of Anastasia as an independent woman who does not want to be dominated and objectified. Anastasia's independent character leads to an editing with Anastasia's new boss Jack; Jack is pure, unrepentant evil, and sexual harasses Anastasia.
Guilt ridden Christian rescues Anastasia from Jack. Then, Anastasia tries to save Christian from himself. Christian needs Anastasia who will give Christian a real sharing relationship. The viewer learns of Christian's abuse and the Elena character which warped a young Christian.
Christian must face the results of his selfish actions when meeting a former submissive! Half way through the viewer learns the Fifty Shades Darker is Character driven movie. The many layers of Fifty shades Darker dives into deeper character development.
The sub-characters come into light at Fifty Shades Darker's ending with the jealous Jack and Elena lurking in the shadows wait to strike at the romantic couple. The maturing relationship will run into challenges for part 3.
The director and actors, chained, restrained and executed Fifty Shades Darker for a 7 out of 10. Funny how young good-looking billionaires seem to be less creepy and savable!
