Review of Fifty Dead Men Walking (2008) by Tim D — 08 Jun 2010
Pretty decent. Certainly an interesting story. And more so as I haven't seen anything about Ireland and the IRA in quite some time, and it reminded me of what a difficult time and place that must've been.
Kingsley was great, and he changed his accent, which I appreciated. Sturgess was also great, and I loved McGowan's small role, and that she actually hit a good Irish accent from what I could tell.
It wasn't the most interesting movie, though. I think some of the pacing was a bit off or something, because I didn't quite get into it as much as I probably should have. Maybe it was just that Sturgess was awfully similar to a few other roles I've seen him in.
