Review of Fierce People (2006) by Mandy L — 18 Jan 2010
Donald Sutherland and Anton Yelchin are fantastic as any character, and they give this movie the qualities it has. But the main point seems disingenuous when contrasted with the positive portrayals of most of the wealty characters.
Atmosphere is flawless, fine cinematography, great preformances, but I got a crawly feeling of disappointment in many scenes, like I was being lied to. Gratuitious drug use and that obnoxiously overused plot additive, teenage sex.
Sigh.
Not a kids movie!
But enjoyable and intriguing.
Mixed review.
