Review of Fierce Creatures (1997) by ♥ Chani L — 23 Sep 2006
This is a great British Comedy very much in the vein of Python. Revolving around saving a zoo from closure by an Australian global corporation, this has plenty of laughs that will appeal to young(ish) and old alike.
Cleese, Kline and Curtis are all excellent, but like in A Fish Called Wanda, I feel it is Kevin Kline who deserves the loudest praise as he flits between playing the ignorant son desperately trying to please his powerful dad and the father, who despises his pathetic and useless son.
The supporting cast, including Michael Palin, Robert Lindsay and Ronnie Corbett are all great and I truly recommend this very funny film. Buy it, rent it or nick it!
