Review of Field of Dreams (1989) by Greg D — 17 Jul 2009
Theoretically, since I don't give a shit about baseball, this movie shouldn't work on me. But it does. The dirty little secret about great sports films is that they're never really about sports, and this one is no exception.
It's about fathers and sons, the paths our lives take, and second chances to make dreams come true. Who can't relate to that? This one joins The Iron Giant in the category of "Movies that make grown men cry like little girls".
