Review of Fido (2006) by Matti K — 05 Jul 2009
An amusing movie centered around the Zombie Apocalypse (Zombpocalypse), this dark comedy features a massive amount of good-natured satire on gener roles and the roles of emotions in a 1950's suburbia family.
"Fido" takes the classic "lassie-esque" relationship between a boy and his dog and adds a dark and amusing twist. While the acting on the surface level might seem a bit cheesy and characteristically dull, I think it is merely a clever play on stereotypical dialouge seen in portrayals of 1950's movies.
Featurinh a performance by Carrie-Anne Moss, Fido serves to be a quirky take on the normally severely dark and horrific genre of the "Zombpocalypse".
