Review of Fido (2006) by Jon M — 17 Oct 2009
An odd concoction of a film but one that somehow works. While the surface is all 1940's american glizt, picking apart the american dream, theres the obvious goosberry of big bloody zombies stroling about the film.
The underlying message might be one of class and exploitation and all that jazz but its handled in such a light tone you dont really need to give it too much thought. Toss in some good - if comic strip - performances from some of the leads (including a bizzare outing for Matrix leather clad beauty Carrie-Anne Moss) and its an odd little film worth hunting down if you are into that sort of thing.... and sadly I am!
