Review of Fido (2006) by Nikolaos S — 19 May 2010
Take one part Happy Days, mix in a little Shaun of the Dead, add a little cliche for flavor and you get Fido. This one was quirky enough to break out of the typical zombie movie mold. All of the main cast was well selected.
I honestly didn't recognize Carrie-Anne Moss because I only know her as Trinity. Billy Connolly did a great job as Fido, the family do.......zombie. So much emotion is expressed without a word being uttered.
All is said through the eyes and with primal grunts and screams. Some say that this movie is a satire of the Americans dealing with slavery. But I don't think that it has anything to do with that.
It is just a zombie movie, c'mon!
