Review of Fido (2006) by T W — 12 Feb 2012
Fido is a touching story about a boy and his...zombie?!?!? Set in an alternate 1950s where radiation has left humans zombified, ZomCon has come up with a solution to all your zombie problems by creating containment collars which will domesticize your zombie so he or she can perform menial tasks (sometimes not very well).
Meet the Robinsons! The only family in town without a zombie until Helen Robinson (Carrie-Anne Moss) gets one for the family (Fido). A familial relationship develops between first Timmy and later Helen and Fido and everything seems to be going well until Fido devours Mrs.
Henderson due to a faulty collar. The story follows Timmy as he tries to maintain his zombie friendship without the neighborhood finding out about Mrs. Henderson. A nod to always quirky Tim Blake Nelson as Mr.
Theopolis the Robinsons' neighbor who has a special affinity toward his zombie, Tammy. An original zombie movie that I highly recommend!
