Every aspect - story, acting, photography, music, lyrics, choreography-perfect. For over 20 years I've been saying that one can understand human history by watching just two films-Conan the Barbarian and Fiddler on the Roof.
The film version of Fiddler, like the stage play, has the guts to end on both sad and optimistic notes.
