Review of Fiddler on the Roof (1971) by Gina M — 09 Sep 2011
What really lets it down are the songs. Most of them aren't that great and over half of them feel like they're talk-singing. Still, technically it is marvellous. The costumes are great and the Cinematography is gorgeous, making excellent use of sunsets.
I don't get why it's called Fiddler On The Roof since the fiddler really doesn't do much. Still, it has it slow moments but for the most part it is enjoyable.
