Review of Fever Pitch (2005) by Phillip F — 04 Mar 2009
The american adaptation of Nick Hornby's 'Fever Pitch' starring Drew Barrymore and Jimmy Fallon who both give good performances in what I'd call romantic comedy at its most bearable. The scripting worked around the romance and instead emphasized the humour and the actual characters, who are pretty well defined if compared to other characters in similar films.
It's quite hard not to side with Fallon's characters from start to finish, which was probably never the book's intention, and many parts are really dull which brings the rating down, but it's light and easy entertainment.
