Review of Fever Pitch (2005) by Aaron B — 23 Sep 2010
This is a surprisingly deep romantic comedy. It serves as an analogy to what a guy goes through when he wants to make a commitment to a woman and realizes it means more than life plus wife. In this case an obssessive Red Sox fan, who has never missed a game since his uncle took him to the stadium when he was 7.
He finds the girl of his dreams and now has to decide if she is worth a life change. The surprise here really is Jimmy Falon. He showed real depth, in his character. His performance is worth the price of admission.
