Review of Fever Pitch (2005) by Ashlee N — 27 Jul 2009
It's not a patch on the book but I would say it's better than the UK film adaptation, plus there are no gooners in it, always a bonus. Barrymore always seems to appeal and there are some genuine laugh out loud moments.
If you happen to be a sports obsessive married to someone completely uninterested in sport (like me...and probably countless others) then this really can't fail to resonate with you somewhere.
