Review of Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986) by Matthew A — 29 May 2012
Matthew Broderick hit the big-time as Ferris Bueller. This side-splitting romp about a teenager who ditches high school captured the imaginations of the young and the old. Who didn't ditch school at least once or twice? Writer-director John Hughes never reached the same level of success as a director after this film.
Mr. Hughes did garner recognition for writing Home Alone and Christmas Vacation.
