Review of Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986) by Alejandro R — 31 Aug 2014
Saw this when I was a kid, but had to re-watch it like certain other films from back then in order to kind of "get it." Overall it's good warm-hearted fun and it seems to have a nice message wrapped up in the teenage rebellious spirit. The message being, "Life moves fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." While it's a great message, I don't think you need to be a school-dodging high school senior with money "borrowing" a 1961 Ferrari from a friend's Dad without the Dad knowing it and engaging in loads of other mischievous behavior (not that all mischief is a bad thing.).
Despite all that, it was still enjoyable.
